One piece of advice Tom would give you is that your tax advisor should also be your tax preparer. Don’t use a tax preparer who isn’t also your tax advisor. If you do, it can be a huge mistake. You want to be sure that your preparer isn’t just accurate. He or she should also be working to reduce your taxes as he or she prepares your return.
