What are 3 steps I can take to start making the shift from a mindset of scarcity to a mentality of abundance?

Michael Easter, an expert on scarcity mindsets and author of “Scarcity Brain,” was Tom’s guest on The WealthAbility® Show podcast and shared what he’s learned studying how to live a more abundant life.

You’ll LOVE his three steps for starting to make the shift from scarcity to abundance:

1. Check your habits.

If you tend to overdo something — scrolling on your phone, checking your portfolio obsessively, eating or drinking too much — chances are you’ve created a habit that is built on a scarcity loop.

2. Break the scarcity loop.

Once you’ve identified a habit that is rooted in scarcity, you can start to make a shift toward abundance. Michael identified three parts to the scarcity loop: opportunity, unpredictable rewards and quick repeatability. Take one of those three parts away, and you’ll be able to change your behavior.

3. Ask the big questions.
